These Terms are an agreement between you and FACEY ("FACEY", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the FACEY app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use FACEY.
1. Who can use FACEY
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- FACEY is a community for college women. You must complete identity verification, and we may decline or remove accounts that don't meet our membership requirements.
- You may have only one account, and you may not share it or sign up as someone else.
- You may not use FACEY if we've previously removed you.
2. Zero tolerance for abusive content
FACEY has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You may not post, comment, message or share anything that:
- Accuses a person of a crime or serious misconduct, including sexual assault, violence, abuse, stalking, drug dealing, or having a sexually transmitted infection
- Is false and harms someone's reputation (defamation)
- Bullies, harasses, threatens or intimidates anyone, or encourages others to do so
- Shares someone's private information, such as phone numbers, addresses, emails, schedules, or private photos ("doxxing")
- Includes sexual content, nudity, or intimate images shared without consent
- Involves anyone under 18 in any sexual or harmful way
- Promotes hate based on race, ethnicity, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation or gender identity
- Promotes self-harm, violence, or illegal activity
- Impersonates someone or misrepresents who you are
- Is spam, a scam, or advertising
Sharing your own opinions and dating experiences is fine. Making accusations about specific people is not. If something serious happened to you, please contact the people listed on our Support page instead of posting about it.
3. Faceless posts
Faceless posts hide your profile from other members, but they are not anonymous to FACEY. We keep a record of who posted each Faceless post and may use it to enforce these Terms, investigate reports, or respond to valid legal process.
4. How we enforce these rules
- We use automated filters and human moderators. Content may be blocked before it's posted or removed afterward.
- Blocked attempts to post prohibited content count as strikes. Three strikes in 30 days pauses your posting for 7 days.
- We may remove content, suspend or permanently remove accounts, at our discretion, for breaking these Terms.
- We aim to review reports within 24 hours and remove content that breaks these Terms and the users who posted it.
5. Reporting and blocking
You can report any post, comment or member in the app, and block members you don't want to interact with. Anyone, including people without an account, can ask us to review content about them through our Support page.
6. Your content
- You own what you post. You give FACEY a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display and distribute it within the service so FACEY can operate.
- You are solely responsible for what you post, including whether it's true and whether you have the right to share it.
- FACEY does not endorse member content and isn't responsible for it.
7. Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app. This permanently deletes your profile, posts, comments, messages and photos. We may also suspend or end your access if you break these Terms.
8. Disclaimers
FACEY is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that information posted by members is accurate. Verification confirms identity at sign-up; it doesn't guarantee how any member will behave. Use your judgment, and meet people in public.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, FACEY is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for content posted by members. Our total liability for any claim is limited to $100.
10. Indemnity
You agree to defend and reimburse FACEY for claims, damages and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content or your violation of these Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Leon County, Florida.
12. Apple
These Terms are between you and FACEY, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for FACEY or its content, has no obligation to provide support for it, and isn't responsible for any claims relating to it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms. If we make important changes, we'll tell you in the app. Continuing to use FACEY after changes take effect means you accept them.
